The stolen flags were purchased by NENA back in 2011 and were hung up each holiday by Mark Baltes, a neighborhood volunteer and NENA Board member.
Our flags are important to us.
We, the NENA Board, decided at our July Board Meeting to reinvest in the neighborhood and replace the flags. Yesterday Mark walked some new volunteers through the process of assembling and hanging the flags. Today, Harrison Boulevard is celebrating Labor Day in red, white and blue.
Thank you to everyone who tried to help in recovering the flags. That’s what our great neighborhood is all about!
